When they stepped outside, Halloween music was blasting; kids were running around laughing, screaming, eating hot dogs, and hitting the ghost pinata while the parents were sitting at picnic tables eating hot dogs and bolillos with sausage with all the fixings; they were laughing, sharing stories about their Halloween experiences when they were kids, and the costumes of the day. There were groups of teens at the haunted house dunking for apples, listening to The Drac, as they called him. A group of girls screamed and laughed every time a spook leaped out from behind a curtain. Groups of teens and parents were eating sausage and bolillos stuffed with peppers, onions, tomatoes, and secret sauce. They were chilling and enjoying their time together.
“Amigo Frog,” shouted a Scottish accent. Señor Frog looked up and saw his friend Sean McSnapping Turtle and his family. They were all dressed in traditional Scottish Kilts. Sean was in his full kilt dress: a Prince Charlie jacket, 5 Button Vest, Tartan Kilt, Tartan Fly Plaid Brooch, Sporran, and Hose Socks. Tartan Flashes, Belt, Buckle, Pin, and his Bagpipes. His wife wore a Heavy Tartan Ladies' Kilt, Tammy Cap, Matching Tartan Sash, Brooch, Tartan Shoulder Bag, and a Kilt Pin matching the kilt and scarf. Their daughters were wearing outfits matching their mom’s.
“Wow! You were right about Sean being serious about his heritage. I do not think I have even seen an entire family in Scottish dress,” said Marty. “Hey, that is quite a BIG Sombrero SF,” said Sean. “Yes, and that’s quite a tall hat,” replied Señor Frog, “for certain, why this here is my bearskin cap; I couldn’t have you being the only one to show off your big hat, now could I?” “Oh, no, that would be too civil of you,” said SF. They both roared into laughter. AW HA, HA, HA, and landed in a big hug. “Good to see you, my friend,” said Sean with a big smile. “Let me introduce you to some of my friends,” said SF “This is Perrito Caliente, the owner of The Hot Dog Stand and the co-owner of Caliente Sausages and Hot Dogs.”
